You've been asking what's taking so long — fair question, and you deserve a straight answer. The video above is Ari with the full story; below is the same update in writing, so you can skim what matters and come back to it anytime.
For eight years, our production has run about 30 days — 45 at the most. Our trial build of the 2 Pro came back in 30 days too, so we opened pre-orders feeling confident. Then we placed the real order and met today's market: with AI chips soaking up global capacity, lead times on high-end phones have stretched to three or four months. We'd secured the critical boards early, but the custom battery is the one piece that kept slipping on us. We'd have loved to catch it sooner — but we'd rather give you the real story than a polished one.
Assembly is now set for July 20, and we're pushing hard to pull it in to July 10. We can't promise the earlier date yet — but we can promise this: the moment anything moves, in either direction, you'll hear it from us first.
Going forward, we're ordering the long-lead materials well ahead and keeping them on hand — and planning our future models around real-world lead times, not best-case ones. Lesson learned, and locked in.

Separate from the delay: pre-order pricing is ending. As we move into July 1–2, the price becomes $394.99 and the free protective case is no longer included. If you're already in line, you're locked in at what you paid — this only affects new orders.

If you caught our founder's update on the timeline →, you know the last few weeks have been anything but quiet. Here's a look at some of the updates we're shipping out to Beta users right now based on feedback so far and how the final product is being pushed forward.
Voice notes now send and play properly on Verizon, and picture messages come through crisp instead of compressed into mush. Big thanks to ars18 — JTech for surfacing this one and helping us nail down the fix.
The keyboard backlight now works the way it always should have — so typing in the dark is finally a non-issue.
You can now size the keyboard to your hands right from the phone during setup. No fiddling later, no compromise.
The quick-settings panel got a cleaner, clearer look — less clutter, easier to read at a glance.
We pulled those uninvited Google News alerts. One less interruption competing for your attention.
Gemini is now disabled across the entire system — not tucked into a corner, gone everywhere.
Video playback stays blocked across the whole device, keeping the experience exactly in line with what you signed up for.
We're not done — far from it. Here's what's actively in the works:
New app store — so we can push Google app updates like Android Auto straight to your phone
New launcher — with instant dialer search, so calling someone is as fast as it should be
Call recorder — record calls right from the dialer
Visual voicemail — read your voicemails instead of dialing in
USB file transfer — move files to and from a computer over USB
Parental controls — currently in active development

We promised to keep you in the loop, so here's the honest version — no spin.
Your Mind Phone 2 Pro is running a little behind, and the reason comes down to one word: batteries. During a routine review, some battery concerns were flagged, and out of caution the factory paused on placing the production order until they were fully understood. By the time that decision made its way back to us, it had already moved the timeline. We'd have loved to catch it sooner — but we'd rather give you the real story than a polished one.
The concerns have, for the most part, been resolved through software optimizations — the kind of tuning that makes the battery smarter and the phone safer without giving up anything you were promised. With that behind us, we've put our foot back on the gas to claw back as much of the lost time as we can.
Production: on track to wrap up by the end of June
Shipping: orders begin going out early July
We'll keep this page current if anything shifts — in either direction.
We completely understand if the timing doesn't work for you. If you need a phone in hand right now, you're always welcome to request a refund — no hard feelings, no hoops.

This delay hasn't been dead time. Over the last few weeks we've shipped a real wave of software improvements — fixes and features that make the phone meaningfully better than it was a month ago. As of today, pre-orders are open in the continental US. You can reserve yours at the launch price of $342 — 10% off our retail — and pick up a free silicone case in the color of your choice. Shipping is expected to begin in May 2026.
